THE DISSECTION AND REASSEMBLY OF COHEN HOARD
Elesa Hagberg
Summary
AN ORGAN SNATCHER LURKS SOMEWHERE IN THE RAINY UNDERBELLY OF PORTLAND. A fact which mild-mannered Cohen was blissfully unaware of until someone or something sends him a specimen by mistake.
Cohen must learn to trust a scrappy bunch of misfits and track down the culprit before he winds up on the donation table himself. He’s on a mad dash adventure through an alternate world where rain rules the night and AI rules the road.
The more Cohen learns, the more questions rise without answers. Does he have the necessary clues to reassemble?
THE DISSECTION AND REASSEMBLY OF COHEN HOARD is perfect for fans of The Minority Report and I Robot.

Review
Genre: Sci-Fi, Dystopian, Post-Apocalyptic
Subgenre: Romance
Gore Factor: Considering it’s body parts, it doesn’t get too gross
Representation: Different races, found family
Sci-fi can be a hit or miss for me. THE DISSECTION AND REASSEMBLY OF COHEN HOARD is a huge hit!
Seriously, I’m picky about my science fiction.
Here’s why I loved this book:
- I was interested from the first chapter—unexpected event happens
- The characters are interesting and unique and scrappy—there’s a lot about found family
- Characters have logical motivation
- The setting is unique—science gone awry
- The pacing makes the book ramp up as the story progresses
- Twists! Ones I didn’t predict but are completely plausible in this world
- More twists!
Let’s talk about the title. At first, I thought it was too long. But I’ve changed my mind because it works so well for everything Cohen is going through. It fits the story! And it’s memorable.
I highly recommend this book! It deserves lots of praise, so I hope you run out and buy it ASAP.
Happy reading,
Michelle
PS: Go ALL the way to the end. You’ll find a bonus chapter.
AND I’m diggin’ the cover. It just looks wet, doesn’t it?
